Sales Agreement

Introduction

By paying either a full or 50% deposit, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined below. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the provision of all services offered by A Studio Pte Ltd (“Alerisa” or “Company”), including but not limited to ready-to-wear and bespoke services. By engaging our services, you (“Client”) agree to be bound by these Terms.

Please note that for items other than ready-to-wear rentals and bespoke services, payment in full is required at the time of purchase, and such items are not governed by the ready-to-wear and bespoke services agreement below. All deposits and payments are non-refundable.

General Terms Applicable to All Services

2.1 Scope of Services: The Company agrees to provide services as described in the invoice and any attached statements of work or service agreements.

2.2 Payment Terms: Payment is due as specified in the invoice. .

2.3 Confidentiality: Both parties agree to keep confidential any proprietary information shared during the course of the services.

2.4 Liability: The Company’s liability for any claim arising from the provision of services is limited to the amount paid by the Client for the specific service.

2.5 Indemnity: The Client agrees to indemnify and hold Alerisa harmless against any third-party claims arising from the use of our services.

2.6 Termination: Either party may terminate the agreement with a written notice. The Client will be responsible for payment for services rendered up to the date of termination.

2.7 Force Majeure: Neither party shall be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, or natural disasters. Notification must be provided as soon as possible.

2.8 Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through mediation or arbitration.

Ready-to-Wear Services

3.1 Fittings / Alterations

All alterations for size and length are included in the prices with a maximum of TWO alterations only. Subsequent changes will be charged accordingly (e.g., weight loss, change of wedding shoes height, etc.). If the alteration is an oversight on Alerisa’s part, Alerisa will absorb the additional alteration costs.

All fittings/alterations are done on weekdays between 9:30 am to 5:00 pm. The fitting location will depend on the studio location. The studio will update you should there be any changes in the lease location.

3.2 Extra Add-Ons

Alerisa reserves the right to keep the design of the gown as its original. Additional changes to the gowns will only be allowed upon consent by Alerisa with additional charges.

3.3 Changes of Design

Alerisa allows a one-time change of gown within the same range/collection prior to measurement and alteration. Additional charges will be incurred for changes after measurement and alteration. All re-try sessions are done on weekdays between 9:30 am to 5:00 pm.

3.4 Payment and Cancellation Policy

A 50% deposit is payable upon confirmation of the gown design. The next 25% is due during the first fitting, and the final 25% is due during collection of the gown.

If the wedding or event is canceled, no refund or transfer will be given. If only the initial deposit has been paid, the deposit will be forfeited.

In light of COVID-19, postponement of gowns for your wedding or event is allowed. No refund will be given if you are unable to proceed with your wedding or event due to safe management measures by the authorities.

3.5 Damage Policy

A security deposit of $500 in cash/cheque/PayNow will be collected upon collection of the gowns. The security deposit will be returned upon returning the gown with no damage. Damages will be assessed by Alerisa, and renters will be informed of any additional charges for repair of the gown. If the gown is lost or damaged beyond repair, the security deposit will be forfeited. The security deposit will also be forfeited if the gown is not returned within 2 weeks from your wedding date.

There will be no security deposit if you purchase the gown, and the rental period will not apply.

3.6 Rental Period

Overseas Rental: Alerisa provides a 7-day free rental period from the date of your flight to the date of return. A one-off charge of $200 applies for rentals exceeding 7 days.

Local Rental: Alerisa provides a 3-day free rental period, counted from the date of your wedding to the date of return.

3.7 Rental Charges

Rental includes one complimentary dry cleaning. Additional dry cleaning is $200 per piece. Third alterations onwards will be chargeable based on area: first area at $250 and subsequent areas at $150.

Bespoke Services

4.1 Design Consultation

After discussing your vision, preferences, and budget, our designer will provide a final sketch of the design agreed and confirmed by you.

Alerisa will source fabric choices and colors. Once you have confirmed your choices, no changes are allowed. Additional costs will be charged for any changes based on the cost of materials.

4.2 Bespoke/Made-to-Measure

Upon confirming the design with a 50% deposit of the agreed quote, Alerisa will take your measurements. Gowns typically take approximately 4-6 months from the date of confirmation.

You must make time for subsequent visits and communicate with us closely via email/WhatsApp about the progress. Alerisa is not liable for any scheduled delays or changes on your end (e.g., overseas travel, inability to visit for fittings, rescheduling your event). Additional costs may incur if rush production is required due to your changes.

4.3 Fittings / Alterations

Subsequent alterations will be charged accordingly for issues like weight gain/loss, change of wedding shoes height, etc. If the alteration is an oversight on Alerisa’s part, Alerisa will absorb the additional alteration costs. Hand-sewn works such as lace appliqué will only begin after you confirm your fitting.

4.4 Extra Charges

All prices include one sketch by our designer, two alterations (inclusive of length), and necessary materials. Additional costs for rush orders, third alterations, or changes to designs will be informed. Requests for high-priced materials like lace or pearls not found locally will incur extra charges and potential delays. Additional charges will apply for adding lace appliqué after work has begun.

4.5 Changes of Design

Alerisa allows a one-time waiver for a change in design if materials have not been bought or work has not started. Additional costs will incur for changes to the confirmed design. Changes to the silhouette of the gowns (e.g., A-line to Ball Gown, Mermaid to Trumpet) are chargeable. Inform us of your color and fabric preferences before materials are bought or cut. Any changes after that will incur additional costs.

4.6 Bespoke Rental Period

4.8 Damage Policy for Bespoke Rental

Entire Agreement

This contract represents all the Terms and conditions agreed upon by the parties. No other understanding or representations, oral or otherwise, regarding the agreement shall bind any of the parties. This contract may not be amended, except in writing, agreed and signed by both parties. By paying either a full or 50% deposit, you agree to the above-mentioned terms and will not hold Alerisa liable for any extra charges that stem from your change of mind or other unforeseen circumstances.
